DEXDEVS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED wants everyone in a school community, including people with disabilities, to be able to use Institute Console on the web and in the mobile app.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we design the mobile app to follow the accessibility guidance of Android and iOS.
What we do
- Pages and screens can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus, and with screen readers, using labelled controls and meaningful headings.
- Text and controls are designed for sufficient colour contrast, and information is not conveyed by colour alone.
- Text can be enlarged with the device's font-size setting without losing content.
- The product is available in English and Urdu, with right-to-left layout for Urdu.
- Important messages are announced to assistive technology, and dialogs return focus to where you were.
Known limitations
Accessibility is ongoing work. Some older screens, exported documents (such as printed forms or PDFs generated for an Institute) and content that an Institute uploads itself may not yet be fully accessible. Where we find a gap, we fix it in a later release and record it in our internal plan.
Tell us about a barrier
If something does not work for you, email support@instituteconsole.com with the page or screen, the device and any assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 5 working days, and where a fix will take longer we will suggest another way to get the same information or service.
Review
We review this statement at least once a year and whenever we make a major change to the interface.
